Sadaf G. Sepanlou
Sadaf G. Sepanlou, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at the Digestive Diseases Research Institute, Tehran University of Medical Sciences. She graduated in Medicine in 2001 and received her PhD in Epidemiology in 2015, both from Tehran University of Medical Sciences. She has experience practicing in remote, resource-restricted areas in Iran and working as a research consultant for the Ministry of Health in Iran for over two years. Her main field of interest includes cardiovascular diseases and their cardio-metabolic risk factors. She has been working on large population-based cohort studies in Iran.
She has been a reader, peer reviewer, and GBD Collaborator since 2013. She is a short-term visiting scholar from September to November 2017 at the CHTF as a trainee and as a researcher on subnational estimates for Iran for GBD 2017.
