IHME Director Christopher Murray presents at the World Bank’s Human Development Learning Week 2013: Building More Equitable Societies event in Washington, DC. Dr. Murray will first present on the mega-trends – urbanization, globalization, climate change, noncommunicable diseases – and their implications for public health. He will then give a second presentation on the Global Burden of Disease Study 2010 (GBD 2010) findings and the opportunities for policymakers and other stakeholders to access the data.

The event will also provide opportunities for in-depth discussion of other important global health topics, including road injuries and fatalities, and tobacco and alcohol use. These sessions attract many important decision-makers and global health professionals interested in examining worldwide trends in health and the most effective methods for reducing the global burden of disease.
