From April 29 to 30, Indonesia’s Ministry of Health will host a technical training workshop and seminar in Jakarta dedicated to country-specific findings from the Global Burden of Disease Study 2010 (GBD 2010). The training workshop will include a presentation on GBD 2010 mortality estimation methods, followed by a discussion of the study’s findings with IHME Director Christopher Murray and Indonesian researchers, public health experts, and health officials.

Dr. Murray will also present plans for applying burden of disease analyses in an ongoing basis for better national and subnational decision making in Indonesia. Other keynote speakers include Dr. Trihono, the Director General of the National Institute of Health Research and Development, and Dr. Nafsiah Mboi, the Minister of Health of Indonesia.
