The Center for Health Trends and Forecasts, based at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington, conducts research related to aging, longevity, and health. One of 11 National Institute on Aging Centers on the Demography and Economics of Aging, the Center’s main goal is to expand the evidence base for a better understanding of health and aging.
The Center for Health Trends and Forecasts (CHTF) encourages the use of data from a variety of disciplines, alongside Global Burden of Disease (GBD) findings, to foster innovative social science research. CHTF provides exchange opportunities for visiting scholars and access to new databases and data visualization tools to analyze GBD data. Learn more here.
CHTF funds social science research projects to examine the social, economic, and health impact disparities of health and population aging. The one- to two-year pilot projects support investigation of health disparities and health outcomes and/ or examine health trends on state or provincial (subnational) levels in various countries.
