Seattle, WA – Dr. Herbert Duber, Assistant Professor, will lead a new addition to IHME’s impact evaluation portfolio, titled Evaluating the Effectiveness, Efficiency, and Cost of Facility-Based ART Service Delivery Models in Uganda and Zambia. Funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, this evaluation builds upon previous IHME work, the Viral Load Pilot Study, in an effort to more comprehensively assess the facility-based drivers of improved HIV patient outcomes and cost-effective delivery of antiretroviral therapy (ART) services.

The project is set to take place in Uganda and Zambia, with country field teams planning to start primary data collection in mid-2015.
