About the tool
Analyze updated estimates of the world’s health for 369 diseases and injuries and 87 risk factors from 1990 to 2019 in this interactive tool. Use maps and treemaps, arrow diagrams, and many other charts to compare causes and risks within a country, compare countries with regions or the world, and explore patterns and trends by country, age, and sex. Results at the subnational level are also available for select countries. Drill down from a global view into specific details. Compare expected and observed trends. Watch how disease patterns have changed over time. Learn which causes of death and disability are having more impact and which are waning.

Interact with the data visualization [3]
Downloading data in languages with special characters
- Download data as a CSV, and save to the location of your choice.
- Open Excel, and click on the Data menu bar option.
- Click on the From Text icon.
- Navigate to the location of the CSV file you want to import.
- Click on the filename, and then click on the Import button. The Text Import Wizard - Step 1 of 3 window will appear.
- In Step 1 of 3, for the file type, choose Delimited.
- For the file origin, choose 65001: Unicode (UTF-8), and then click Next.
- In Step 2 of 3, for delimiters, select Comma, and then click Next.
- In Step 3 of 3, click Finish.
- In the pop-up window, click Ok.
Browser issues
- Use the latest version of your preferred web browser.
- Make sure to disable compatibility mode in Internet Explorer. In some cases, it renders a site unusable.
- Use Ctrl+0 to reset the browser zoom. Having the browser zoomed in or out may interfere with the layout or properties that are mouse-dependent.
