The health of young children in America

Childhoods in America are safer and healthier than ever before, but the health of the nation’s young children continues to lag behind that of other developed countries. Similarly, the survival of American mother is improving, but early deaths and disability caused by pregnancies among American women continue to be markedly high among developed countries. Improving gaps in child and maternal well-being in the United States may indeed transform the trajectory of American health.
