Flexible work setting
Work from the beautiful Hans Rosling Center located on UW’s campus in Seattle, Washington or remotely from anywhere in the US or split your time between the two. IHME is committed to supporting you wherever you choose to be.

One of our favorite things to do at IHME is to recognize brilliance among us. Each year we give out awards highlighting excellence in four categories: Innovator of the Year, Rising Star/Rookie of the Year, Outstanding Growth, and Community Builder.
Our team-building and recognition funds are available for all teams to meet up for lunch, send each other a thank-you coffee gift card, spend the afternoon bowling on the UW campus, or anything else that will bring you closer together.
As an IHME employee you will have access to tailored resources and opportunities that are available to help you grow in your career. We provide funding for professional development, allowing you to take advantage of the UW Professional and Organizational Development offerings, as well as courses outside the UW, conferences, and books or other learning materials.
Another great benefit of being an IHME employee is the Washington State Employee Tuition Exemption Program. For eligible staff and faculty, this state program pays for about six credits per term for classes taken at the UW or other participating state, community, and technical colleges.
Twice a year we gather together for a Day of Reflection, where we hear from diverse speakers about their lived experiences and research highlighting disparities in their communities and the world at large. We also provide spaces year-round for our staff to connect with others who share their backgrounds, interests, and experiences through our Employee Resource Groups. You can find even more opportunities to engage with other IHMErs through our Community Building Club, which organizes events like guest lectures, weekly contests, and trivia.
