Serkan Yalcin

Serkan develops, manages, and maintains IHME’s enterprise technology, including computational and data storage infrastructure, enabling a wide array of complex analyses utilizing as much data as is accessible. He has been pivotal in evolving the computational capabilities through multiple expansions and enhancements. Most recently, that has meant adding capabilities for IHME to experiment with large language models. Serkan is responsible for the security of all IHME’s data and for continuous operational support for our teams, spread across multiple geographic locations. His role as Director marks his second stint at IHME after an earlier sojourn to the private sector, working for Qumulo.
