Assessing Impact, Improving Health: Progress in Child Health Across Districts in Zambia is the culmination of the Malaria Control Policy Assessment (MCPA) project in Zambia, which has sought to quantify the impact of malaria control and other child health interventions on reductions in under-5 mortality across districts in Zambia. For the first time, annual estimates of key child health outcomes and intervention coverage are available at the district level, allowing for side-by-side comparisons of health performance over geography and intervention type from 1990 to 2010. Funding for this work was provided by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation – Malaria Country Progress Assessment (Investment #OPPGH4636).
